| SAILING - OVERVIEW Palm Beach Sailing Club was formed in 1963 as Pittwater Catamaran Club - a club for off the beach Catamaran sailors. The Club sails from Sandy Beach, Palm Beach at the end of Sand Point Lane, a picturesque soft sand beach with easy access to the waters of Pittwater and Broken Bay at the northern end of Sydney's Northern Beaches. Over the years members representing our club have gone on to competing and winning at the top National and International levels. Palm Beach Sailing Club members have arguably won more Olympic Medals than any sailing or yacht club in Australia dominating the Olympic Tornado Class for a number of years. Our members have also been strong in the international Hobie Cat classes.
